Featured Replies

can I ask how much you paid for the car? just that my gf is looking at a 2001 Y 1.4 petrol Fabia classic 44K with one owner and FSH + 3months warranty, the car is in very nice condition, green metallic, It's on at £1995 ! but I was thinking more like £1500 ?

I paid 2500 there abouts. I think because it's yellow there a bit harder to get well that's what I found when i wanted one :)

Hi bonny lass, to answer the question everyone else has been ignoring, I'd use a 50/50 mixture of VAG G12+ and water, because it's not just to stop the radiator and block freezing, but also acts as a "water wetter" to stop them boiling in Summer, and as an anti-corrosion additive.

The oil warning light is for pressure, not level. That's why they give you a dipstick with the levels on. The vibration could be an engine mount gone but highly unlikely at that mileage. You could try resetting the ecu to see if that helps with the rough idling. Could be a dirty air filter if it hasn't been serviced properly or naff spark plugs.

Could be dirty throttle body, had that on my old Ibiza 1.2. Rough idle, stalled now and again.

Good luck anyhow, hope you find out the problem and get it sorted ;)

Thought it was harder to sell a yellow car.

As for your other little problems above these should have been picked up on your service before you bought it, did you ever go back to tell them to do it properly?

If they didn't do it, don't go there again.

hopefully getting it chekced out prof. helps
