Possible break in.

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've had a Hornet Maxx 1 aftermarket auto alarm fitted for about 4 months now and no problems with it... up until last night. I went out to the car and the alarm gave me a warning (when I unlocked the car) that the alarm had been triggered. The diagnostic light on the dash then informed me that one of the door triggers had been activated and set off the alarm. I of course, began to worry about weather someone had broken into my Fabia. The strange thing is though, there is no evidance of a break in or an attempt to break in, nothing missing and no scratches on the doors (that wern't already there). So, do any of you guys have any ideas? The car is behind wooden gates and out of sight from the road so a theif would have to climb over the fence and then climb back over with wathever "loot" they may have stolen. Could there be a problem with the alarm or could someone have actually tried to break in?

Any ideas welcome!

sounds more like a false alarm to me :)

False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm, False Alarm

Sleep Well :D:rofl:

i've had false alarms due to the following in the past:-

wind

interior light on

faulty stereo leaving the amp turned on

animals

and probably more that i can't remember :)

If someone had tryed to break in surely the alarm would of sounded and woke everybody up,and the would be thief would of had jump out of your car and over your gates, were these tampered with?

If not and a thief had managed to start the car he would of had to open the gates too or drive through them which is very unlikely

I would also say it was your alarm playing silly buggers with you,i think you can sleep tonight mate!

Duggie, sleep in the car tonight, just in case :)
