Rear screen join black strip...

Featured Replies

Ok had the car two weeks, and have notice the black strip along the top of the rear screen has peeled off 12"s... grrr... Anyone else had this problem?

It's obviously there to cover the unsightly gap. So I'm gonna take it back to a dealer and get it fixed under warranty hopefully, but am hoping they're not just gonna try and glue it back on... don't feel this is a proper fix...

Any advice?

Cheers

Dom

Had exact same problem with mine when it was around a month or two old.

Took it back to dealer and they sorted it. I presume they glued it, and it's been fine ever since.

I don't think it 'clips' on to anything, so I guess they have to glue it???

Yes, exactly the same, a few inches at right hand top edge. Used Loctite gel super glue to refix - no problem since

The strip is just glued into place at the factory, so yes the dealer will glue it back in.

I best get it in to a dealer then.

Thanks for all your replies...

I used glue to fix mine on a previous Octy II, the dealers solution was to replace the entire rear screen as the rubber surround comes fitted to it and is not available as a seperate item!
