Brake pad warning

Featured Replies

Hi all,

been a while since my last post, still having issues with my 1.8T, although i've just bought a new MAF to hopefully cure the running problems.

Recently over the last few weeks my 'check brake pad' warning light has been coming on, its not a constant thing and is off more than it is on, looking at the pads it seems they all have plenty of meat on them so i'm thinking its possibly a loose connection.

I just wanted to check it isn't anything simple before i take them apart and have a look.

Any comments/suggestions welcome.

cheers for the help,

Shaun.

Check the inner pad itself, they only need to be about 60ish percent work an if you have a lip on them it will have cut through it.
