Knocking at front

Featured Replies

Hi,

i've recently had my drivers side cv joint replaced as it was knocking loudly when i turned left hard/sharply.

Its not as loud as it previously was but it still does it if i really turn the wheel sharply, i've been told it could be something to do with the anti roll bar bushes.

Has anyone had any experience of this or does anyone have any more thoughts?

Regards,

Shaun.

i've just done some reading and apparently the springs snapping is a common issue. anyone had any experience of this? what would be the best way to tell?

ok cheers,

looks like its a spring issue then.

its a deep knocking sound that i get:(

Shaun.

I used to get a loud knock if at around full lock, or when turning from lock to lock. I was told by garage it was the top strut bearing which had collapsed, and the spring was twisting round. I think the same thing happened on a Pug I used to have too. I thought it was going to be the bushes given how common that is when you search etc.

Currently, I get a squeak going over (some) uneven bumps and even when I start the car. Any ideas?
