So I'm driving the vRS to work and on start I notice the aforementioned warning light. So I search these forums and figure out it's something that needs checking striaght away. So I phone the dealership and they tell me to bring it in so they can run the diagnostics.

I bail out of work 2 hours early as its quite a drive. They run the diagnostics and get the following:

12599 P3137 001

Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC)

Basic settings not carried out

sporadic

01602 P0642 002

Senseor Reference Voltage -A- Circuit

too low

sporadic

They then tell they've never seen the first code, don't know what it means and have reset the system, rerun the diagnostics and then all is good.

However I'm just wondering if any of you far more informed people than I have ever come across this one before?

I have had the P3137 one several times. To clear it correctly they need to carry out basic settings which I am guessing VAS will prompt them to do.

Mine keeps coming back and as I have VAG COM I keep doing this, as each time I have put it into the dealer nothing comes back from it.

This a common problem with these engines apparently. Ive been having issues.

Its to do with the intake manifold runner control motor, it probably needs replacing.

Ive currently got 3 codes relating to this.
