I tried being smart and tagging my problem onto someone elses thread on "Ask a Tech" forum but have not had any replies, so here it is again - car 2003MY Polo BBY engine 54,000 miles, everything had been okay previously, restarted a hot engine EPC and engine fault lights on, throttle rose to about 1,500 RPM at start up + throttle response not too good! This condition continued at the next hot restart 30 minutes later after driving one mile. Then at the next start, two miles and one hour later the original fault has gone and I have since scanned using VAG-COM - 17961 - Barometric / Manifold Pressure Signals : Implausible Correlation P1553 - 35 - 10 - - - Intermittant. I've looked up Ross Tech WIKI but this fault code has not been added to this yet! Any clues as to what might have caused it? BTW after 100 miles and a few restarts the fault has not reappeared.

Humm, I didn't think "non freedom" people had "Ask a Tech" visability, I just meant I was chancing my arm by jumping into someone elses thread.

Dash!! thanks for that, that is where I bought my VAG-COM from but have not been on that forum for a while - well not since starting to get the usual suspension etc problems that Fabia/Polo/Ibiza suffer from! I think my last posting there was for a problem talking to the Siemens Climatronic controller on the Polo.
