I have declared everything with the insurers and have gone for a total XS of

Paul, have you had a look at the list of insurers in our Links section to see which ones you have missed so far?

Try entering your details into www.confused.com , I saved a fortune insuring the mondeo using this route.

I had a looksee - most of them in there have been tried :-) (Thanks to your hard work!)

Its just that sometimes theres someone with a similar set of circumstances who had a cracking quote from elsewhere.

Paul..

Adrian Flux and Quoteline Direct maybe?

Egg card customers get extra discount on Egg insurance ;)

As an egg card holder, I just did an online quote. Assuming my car is standard (which it aint) the quote was the small some of

Anyone else I should consider or should I just go with DL (as per last 2 years)

Paul..

I found admiral.com were the cheapest for me. Most couldnt even consider it as i've never been insured and have no no-claims. I've always hired cars when needed them. Any that would insure me were up above

I'm getting similar quotes to you on most of those insurers - my best so far has been the Halifax with 620. I'm with Esure at the moment - haven't had my renewal from them yet.

Norwich Union Direct not on your list but probably silly money, might be worth a try.

Tried some more and direct line were still the cheapest. A little trick for you all - if you have home insurance with DL as well you get 10% off your motor premium... On an expensive policy that can be well worth it - especially if youre house insurance is due too.

Paul..

Re parking on drive / street.

Mine is on the road outside the house, LV were best for me. :)

Adrian Flux were the best for me but only after i told them i had a cheaper quote from tesco's... they price matched and i stayed with them...
