Vents

Featured Replies

But i would be letting out heat from the FMIC (once fitted).

That would save on heat soak, there fore, better power. So it wouldnt be going 'nothing'.

And i think i could fit one that comliments the car, rather than the 'putting evo vent on a mk1 clio' look.

Try adding a couple of spacers in at the bonnet hinges lifting the back of the bonnet up this will let all the hot air at the top of the engine bay escape !!

Humm. I did this on my mk3 mini, and it looked great. But thats a classic car, and had a carbon bonnet etc. Proper pocket rocket.

What would it look like on a fabia?

Anyone any good with paintshop pro? Im trying to learn, but cant get my head round it.

What about something Mercedes style? There was a older S500 in today and it has a vent that runs along the back of the bonnet to let the heat out. Doesn't look tacky and I think might look quite good on a Fabia. Functional without being chavy.

I know I was just trying to be smart....

if you are going to try and be smart at least have a nominal knowledge of the subject in which you claim to be intelligent...

a lot of venting in bonnet tops is more to do with air of any temp being sucked out... which lowers air pressure below the vehicle increasing downforce w/o resorting to high drag wings / lips. :)
