Hi all,

Just wanted to say hi, just bought myself an 02 octavia vrs.

What are the best sensible mods to do?? i've been doing a bit of research on this site and have found some very interesting threads.

any obvious tips and tricks would be handy that i might have missed!!

hi and welcome. Have a look on the Octavia mk 1 section for some suggestions. Money is the only limit to what you can do as far as mods go! The obvious one is a remap, which can set you back anything from £100-£600 depending on what you want. That should see you good for a few more horses under the bonnet! But you should consider sorting the handling out before putting more power to the wheels IMO.

Hi and welcome too:thumbup:

Welcome.

For handling mods do a search in the Octy Mk1 forums for "ARB", "Coilovers", "Strut brace", also worth getting a dogbone mount for the engine, upgrading the brakes and getting some decent tyres.
