Windows Vista...

XP support officially finishes quite soon actually i think, it mentions it in the article linked i believe.

Probably, but I think driver support will last a bit yet....I hope so!

according to that link official mainstream supports ends april next year and security type stuff will be good for another 5 years :)

XP support has just been extended indefinitely due to the popularity of XP Home and Pro in the new Netbooks (Eee PC, Acer One, MSI Wind) that are currently all the rage. These simply can't run Vista due to the hardware requirements and the other choice would be Linux, so MS have very wisely decided to take the revenue from XP rather than hand the whole market over to the Open Source boys.

XP home was long since finished ands only XP pro had support IIRC.

At above poster, do you have a source for that as that would be interesting.

Nothing wrong with Vista at all, i've had Vista Ultimate on my laptop since 2007, dual core 1.8 with 2GB ram and other nice bits i can't be arsed to list!

It has some nice features i miss when using XP on my work computer that make everything just that little bit quicker, i'm on the Vista boat....GO TAKE OVER THE WORLD VISTA, I LOVE YOU!
