Boost Controller

Featured Replies

I came across this whilst looking up the meaning of 'surging' - http://www.splitsec.com, "Products", "1.8T Boost control system". Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Does it really (safely) work? $250 seems a bit cheap for 30hp.

How about

eerrrr....Tim...nothing attached unless you're talking about your sig.

Would the boost controller make any difference in a standard car? surely it just means you can turn it down to give less boost because turning it up wont increase the flow any higher that the pipe will already run?

In the case of the Jabba Boost Controller...no.....car needs to be remapped for it to work.

Do you really want to decrease the standard boost? ;)

i wouldn't mind the ability to dial down the boost/power once i get my car re-mapped. would mean that whilst pootling round town/in traffic you could dial it down to the minimum so you ain't wasting so much petrol. or i could just dial it down and remove the knob when i'm not in the car ;)

Exactly! So what is the point in spending money on something that mokes your car slower. Seems like a strange thing to put on, espescially as it can't be adjusted without popping under the bonnet.
