First real shot of PC on my Fabia.

Featured Replies

Only a few pics, as my battery died uploading them this morning.

But after waiting to get my PC and all the other gear ready, i've started to correct the paint on the Fabia, which was long overdue.

Time is against me at the moment, so i'm really only doing a panel or two a night.

Started with the tailgate.

Here's the clay after just half the tailgate.

Then a swirly shot.

And finished (but no wax or sealant applied)

I know the pics are rubbish, but i've yet to get the hang of trying to get the settings right on the camera. :o

And once i get the camera recharged, i'll upload the rest.

Hopefully i can do well with the rest of the car. :)

Sorry I might be being thick here but what are you actually doing to the car? Whats PC? And what are you doing with that bit of clay?

And I'm not sure what the pics are of either! Sorry!

PC is a Porter Cable, a buffer bascially.

claying removes all contaminates from the paint surface and leaves it smooth.

the first pic of the swirls shows the marks in the paintwork that he's working to remove to leave a mirror like finish in the paint.

its a lot of work but the results can be fantastic.

Read the stuck threads at the top of this forum and you'll get a more detailed discription of what each process is and how to do it.

looks like its working johnny, once you finish yours, feel free to do mine :P

Every days a school day I suppose.

Cheers!

Cheers Keith.

TBH, the pic of the swirls is rubbish, but my camera just wouldn't pick them up.

Probably going to tackle the rear quarters tonight. :)

Looks good mate...........best way to get pics of the defects is to take them from a very accute angle mate.........

Not yet as i'm only doing a panel a night at the moment as i've not got much time on my hands.

Once it's done i'll post some pics. :)
