Hi guys (and gals)

Just hit the big 100k, and i have a leak from my rad (only small and due to be replacing with an ally one soon.

However i've been gettin the traditional coolant level light flash come on. Now checking now and again the level seems to drop very small amounts (due to the leak).

But the other day i was running below minimum after a short run. So after opening the top of the bottle, the level then bubbled back up to maximum.

Is this normal, as i would have thought the level would rise under heat, not be below minimum

As the coolant system heats up it becomes pressurized which increases the boiling point of the system and when you released the pressure the water/coolant then expands in the header tank this is normal.
