Do all Fabias have steering angle sensors?

Featured Replies

I have a 2001 Fabia TDI Comfort. Best small car I've ever owned... I also have the dreaded dodgy steering/flickering lights problem, but according to my mechanic my car doesn't have a steering angle sensor (going by the chasis number). Is he talking out his behind? If not what else can I do to fix the lights? Car's not logging any faults when hooked up to the diag. computer, but will light the PAS light on the dash from time to time.

Wel lets put it this way - my 2001 TDi Comfort Estate has a steering angle sensor - how else would the electric power steering work? Oh and yes it has been replaced by the revised part in the last couple of years.

If you have PAS, I'm sure it will have the angle sensor, and from the symptoms described, I'm sure yours is up the spout. My 2001 "Fabia TDI comfort" is on it's 2nd sensor.

That's pretty much what I thought, just wanted to check what you guys thought as I'm not much of a mechanic. I'll maybe tackle this though....
