Stereo Problem

Featured Replies

Hey people,

I've recently purchased an Octavia Ambience 1.9 TDI. No problems, great car but the passenger speaker keeps rattling. It annoys the hell out of me, I've gone to the dealer before for it and they said it was a loose screw. Now I don't know what to do, should I go back and give it to them? or is it normal? not sure

advise please?

Doesn't sound normal! When you say that the dealer said it was a loose screw, did they do anything about it? If not definitely take it back. A loose screw is NOT right!

If anything about the car does not meet your expectations the dealer should be prepared to either look and fix, or give you a damned good explanation why!!

Is the car still under waranty? if so it should be fixed on that. I had a rattle in one of my Mk1 speakers when 2 years old. It was caused by a blown speaker and it was replaced under waranty for me by my local dealer.

They are held in with rivets, so a lose screw seems.... unlikely.

yeahhh it's under warrantry, I've had it only for one month... purchased new

I have the same problem on mine, but apparently it is lack of deadening material in the door that makes it vibrate with a bit of bass coming out of the speaker.

The driver door is a bit better.

Are there people with the same issue that used deadening material(Dynamat) and have some pictures on how to use it?

I read on various websites that it makes an huge difference. A lot of people change the speakers thinking their the problem but end up with the same prob.
