I am awaiting the delivery of my new car. but until then i am trying to work out some revs per mph around the crusing speed.

Could anyone tell me what revs the engine is pulling at 70mph and 80 mph.

On an entrance slip road? probably about 5,000 However, i take it you mean in either 5th or 6th gear:cool:

Sorry not much more help - might be popping out on a dual carriageway later though so will try to remember to have a look.

OK so i have just been out and on the way back remembered this thread. So:

3rd gear (accelerating 'quite' hard:cool:) was about 6,400 rpm. 4th gear at a steady 80mph was 4,600 rpm.

Useless info over, the figures you will have actually wanted are:

5th gear - 3,600 rpm

6th gear - 3,000 rpm.
