Hi there

Featured Replies

I've had my Skoda Felicia for 6 years and it has been a real work horse & had very few problems until recently:) However this year I have had to have a new clutch, new brakes:thumbdwn: and now the car is over heating whilst in traffic. It is fine on the motorway and the rad pipes are hot on both sides of the rad. The water pump is working fine but the fan isn't cutting in. The blowers have now stopped working (I'm not sure this is connected) I have checked the fuses but they are fine but this was the only way to stop the car from over heating previously, any ideas?

Hello and welcome.

Welcome :)

Hi and welcome.Try checking the fan switch on the radiator, and be careful if the engine gets too hot incase it blows the head gasket.

Cheers, that was my conclusion, but not being all that mechanically minded I wanted some confirmation I was thinking along the right lines.
