Rolling road remaps or real time codes?!

Featured Replies

Apparently, having remaps based on a rolling road, figures and testing can leave flat spots in the curves :thumbdwn: however you have evidence taylored to your car  . Takes a day usually to fit. :thumbdwn:

Alternatively you can get a code which is provided, takes 25mins  to put in the car, no CPU tampering  , is apparently hidden  and can be altered with a seperate controller  that plugs in to the car in a matter of seconds.

The code is based on real time testing  on roads in real conditions producing no flat spots in the curves  . You are provided with the real time test results.

Any views, as im looking at getting a remap but there seems to be pros  and cons :thumbdwn: to both. The real time remap costs a bit more though :thumbdwn: ... is it worth it  ?

Which particular remaps/codes are you talking about?

Jabba or AmD for the rolling road, both, 40bhp extra roughly,

I only have first hand knowledge of a Jabba remap which is tailored to each individual car and any mods fitted. It takes around half a day and is accompanied by at least one road test and further adjustments to the remap if necessary.

i only know what ive ben told by Simon (the guy in charge @ Hersham) at Revo Technik, it sounds good though. Its quite new, and only 4 Furby vRS's have been given the treatment with great results apparently.

I think that there has been an element of 'talking up' and 'talking down' going on, Alex, but I will leave it to our more knowledgeable members to say it as it is.

I have REVO and I find it's very progressive and pulls very well.

Not had it RR'd yet as it's only done 200 miles! lol
