I have just joined and was wondering if there was anyone in the south Linconshire area with VAG-COM.

I have just fitted a new Electronic Systems control unit to an 05 fabia TDi Elegance estate, to repair a burnt out Indicator/Hazard flasher driver unit, the fault is now working but the tailgate wont open, its all electric and the circuit runs through the replaced control board. I had wondered if the tailgate/boot needed to be activated in order for it to function, everything else that runs through this new board seems to work correctly, even all of the other central locking features.

Thanks I will look at the directory. Its difficult not being able to open the tailgate!!
