Seat back release handle replacement

I've been a tad brutal with the seat back release handle on the rear seats of my fabia, and the handle's snapped off. This is after I snapped the handle off the glove box and the underseat storage door, so I think a touch more gentleness may be required in future!

Two questions:

1) Is there any easy way of releasing the back seat? (it is in the locked position).

2) Has anyone had to replace one, and how?

I read a thread on here that said in passing that you had to release it with a screwdriver, but no more info - and I've had no luck.

Any help appreciated.
