Halfords HP1500/HP2000 Pressure Washers

Featured Replies

I think it is about time I entered the world of Pressure Washers - something to attempt to keep the Black Magic vRS clean!

Was in Halfords earlier and they are selling the:

Halfords HP2000

Halfords HP2000 Pressure Washer from Halfords Price £199.99 Extra 10% Off When You Add to Basket

Comes with Turbo & Vario lances

Detergent Bottle attachment

They were claiming it was currently at Half Price - £89 instead of £180.

They were also selling:

Halfords HP1500

Halfords HP1500 Pressure Washer from Halfords Price £139.99 Extra 10% Off When You Add to Basket

Comes with just Vario lance (Not Turbo)

Washer Bottle attachment (Not Detergent, if there is a difference?)

Again claiming Half Price at £69 instead of £140

Has anybody got either of these and can recommend them?

If not any good, what would be a good purchase for a similar kind of price?

Ta

Aldi have their PowerCraft one for sale this week at about £80. Very good spec, 2100w motor and plenty of pressure.

I have just bought one myself although not taken it out of the box yet. They get good reviews if you google it and is apparently made by Karcher.

I have a Wickes 45 quid one - it's great. No wheels or fancy stuff, but 110 bar, nice sturdy motor, does the job. Go and take a look in Wickes - less fancy, not so "shiny", but some decent gear cheap.

As Stu says they are great. I've had one of the Powercraft ones for 2 years in December and it doesn't miss a beat. The equivilent Karcher is over £200.

Comes with a good warranty too.

Yeah, I've heard good things about the Power Craft.

I've had Halfords washers in the past and they've been very good, especially when you, er, fit a Karcher lance. That said the HP1500 and the HP2000 are from another manufacturer and haven't been sold very long - so I can't really comment with any accuracy.

We get few complaints here in customer services about them though so reading between the lines I'd say they're reliable.

Still, can't beat a Power Craft for price!

Slightly biased view but I have the Powercraft unit and compared to the equivalent spec Karcher it's a no brainer, especially with the warranty:

One word of advice though, if you do buy one of these units you will need to invest in a replacement hose as the standard 6m is just not long enough.

I used my Powercraft for the first time yesterday and it kicks the @r5e of the over £250 Karcher I've just taken to the tip!!

I did keep the Karcher tools and hose to use on it as they did seem to be the only week point.

I Agree with Baker and Stu - Powercraft version from Aldi is the business - 3 year warranty and Karcher built. Also - can be converted for all Karcher accessories if needs be, and and has 6 metre hose as standard. Very impressed and gets used every week - now 2 years down the line - and still working brilliantly!

Where did you get that hose, looks like a quality item and while I have a karcher extension I'd prefer just a single properly flexible hose and yours looks good.

Also FWIW the powercraft tools are good, and have the same numbers o n as the karcher ones I have, but they connector isn't quite the same :(

Got the hose from an Ebay member, he was reccomended through DW and the service was top notch, email him with what you want and he will do it for you.

I can't remember his Ebay username so email him at this address and I am sure he will confirm it to you:

I ordered 12 or 15 metres and that is plenty, the hose is easier to work with and it's as tough to coil back up as the standard items but now I can just leave the Pressure Washer in one position and walk around the cars easily........
