What Happened in 2004 to the VRS?

Featured Replies

This has been covered many times before!

The conclusion you'll arrive at is that there's quite a lot of overlap on 2004 cars. Some got some tweaks and changes, some didn't, some got a different combination of them.

Also, the alteration of the final gear ratio was not part of the facelift.

I Love Lamp,..oh, um.. no, i mean...

Yeah.. reaching that conclusion Wardy!

I think I must have the shorter box anyways as overtaking in 6th is easy!

Thanks:D:thumbup:

 - very good

As far as I can gather, all cars after March 2004 have the revised ratio. My first vRS (08/03/04) had the revised ratio, but longer badge and all other pre-facelift items.

Oh, and another thing - one-touch indicators were a March '04 thing as well, rather than an inclusion in the facelift package.

Yeah, got them! Didn't realise at first and thought the stalk was just a costed down version (cuz it's not as clunky as my 2001's was).. then I worked it out and love this lil feature!.. though, I feel it should'a been 4 blinks.. or maybe I should just change lanes quicker... ;)

Thanks bud!
