Milltek DP performance increase on 2.0T FSI

Featured Replies

I'm sure the Milltek only has one CAT or are you looking for no CAT?

Looking for one with no Cat. and then change back to standard for NCT (MOT), then back to no cat after test.

98 RON is recommended for the 2.0 T FSI, because the engine has a high compression ratio (10.3:1). 98 is more stable than 95 and will not detonate (Knock) before the spark plug has a chance to ignite the air fuel mixture.

The 2.0 T FSI has anti Knock sensor this will retard timing to prevent damage to the engine when RON 95 is used. Because of this there is a slight reduction in power and increase in fuel consumption.

Using a higher than 98 RON fuel will not improve performance

The BWA motor in the VRS does not run a Stratified Charge.

Hi Richie.

I have a Octavia Combi (2007) RS 2.0 TFSi. 200BHP

Are you saying it does not have a stratified charge? I know it says BWA on the engine stickers when you look down into the engine compartment to the left around the timing belt.

If not does not have a stratified charge will i then neve run FSI mode?

Martin, Copenhagen, Denmark

afaik the BWA and BPY motors do not run stratified charge

does anyone think a power increase would be possible with standard exhaust and a pass through pipe to replace the cat?

There might be but seems a lot of work to make your car fail an emissions test.

it wont be my car come it first MOT, and even then its only a case of bolting the cat back in

i had a cat bypass pipe on my alfa 156 2.0tsafter the CAT cracked and alfa wanted 600 quid for a new one. it made the exhaust noise a little throatier but didn't change power afai could appreciate, but it was a normally aspirated engine though
