Should I...

Featured Replies

I'm seriously thinking of swapping the vRS for an Octavia L&K - it's a 56 plate in silver with 17" alloys, full black leather interior and everything else you could possibly think of - I had a drive of it a couple of hours ago and it's absolutely stunning! It's going to work out around £80 extra a month but it seems like so much more car for the money plus it's newer. I'm very very tempted but just thought I'd throw the idea out to you friendly folks and see what you think.

Do you need the extra size and gizmos? Will you miss the performance? Is an extra £80 a month out of your spends ok? etc etc

I will miss the performance but the 2.0 in the octy is no slouch. I need 4 new tyres for the Fab and the cambelt needs changing in Nov so there's £600 straight away I'm going to have to spend out on the car in the next few months... I'm thinking I should just get the octy and not worry about it! I dunno...

Did you want the octy originally? Were you looking to upgrade? Or have you just come across this deal so now you want one?

I sound like my parents lol

I test drove the new MkII Octy a few months back, was going for £14.999 on a 56 plate, didn't think much of it tbh, sure it was classier than the Furby, and bigger to boot. But the drive itself was no where near as fun or involved as my little pocket rocket :)

Plus the fuel and tax/insurance costs would've butchered me :D

I did actually want the mkII vRS originally but settled for the Furb. This one is 10995 on a 56 plate and it's top of the range! It's properly awesome. I dunno - the guy at the dealer today was a bit of a **** which has put me off slightly so I'm unsure what to do now. I'd expect to get more or less the same type of economy I'm getting from the Furb and it's taxed for a year and will only cost £5 more a month insurance. Decisions, decisions...

The Octavia will be more fun :)

Dunno - I'm gonna see if they can do it for £200 a month tomorrow.
