help please this knocking is driving me mad

hi all i have a 2000 x fabia 1.4 comfort 51000 miles it has an annoying knock. it sounds as if it is coming from the n/s/f suspention area.( i think )

we have been and tightend every bolt and nut it has just gone through a mot it does not affect the sterring in any way you do not even have to go over rough ground for it to happen is there any thonk loose that i have missed can any one help please it is driving me nuts and is spoiling what is a lovely car to drive many thanks for looking regards to you all

Check for worn console bushes and loose bonnet stay - do a search on those and see if those get you started.

When does it make the noise and whats it sound like?

Sounds like the roll bar bushes to me, mine did the same when I got it.

Many thanks for your swift replys it does sound like as if it is a suspention knock i will get the rollbar bushes checked out and let you know i would still be gratefull for your comments

Does sound like anti roll bar bushes.

or drop links, both easy fixes

My fist check would be the ARB , the parts have been superceeded by VAG as it is a common failure

On the bar there is a plastic sleeve that cracks off , then it means that you need a new ARB , but be happy in the knowledge that if you buy a new one from a Skoda dealer , it is the superceeded one
