me and a few freinds have been looking for an adventure in the form of a cheep old car and a long road trip somthink that will be good for a few miles. i have been looking a while and the other day i came across a volvo 740GLE 2.3 it has full lether with heated seats (that work) all round electric windows, climate control and dixie horns . the car was on ebay starting at £100 bargen the only thing that may put people of is the beano and dandy theam paint job the guy that had it b4 me did the ramshankel rally witch is a rall across europe he done 4000 miles in it and it was fine the car is now on 202,700miles and the drive is perfect and brakes are spot on gearbox is a lovely change as well. our plans are in a month or two drive from hastings to scotland. and then after xmas we are gonna take it to the south of france and the up to germany.

For £100 that's a great roadtrip car. Book 2 weeks off work now and get a ferry booked to Calais and just see how far East you can make go.

A mate of mine had C reg one of these about 10yrs ago... was a hoot driving around in it.

Used to punt around in a 740 turbo years ago, nice comfy cars:thumbup:
