fitting arb bushes

Featured Replies

Ihave just fitted superpro wishbone bushes to my 1.9 tdi octy and whilst doing so, noticed that the arb bush had some rust around it on both sides and the plastic collar looks like it has worn out . im getting a slight groaning noise from the front end occasionally ,so do you think it could be the arb bushes? I going to order a set of superpro ones anyway, but are they easy to fit ?

If the plastic collar is gone then they are well on the way. You may require a new bar as well if it has worn where the bush's contact :thumbdwn:

Bush's are easy, one 10mm nut iirc on each clamp to remove them.

I used a bit of wax-oil on my arb when I fitted new bushes.

13mm bolt on the arb, easy to do but if the collar has gone you need a new bar which means the subframe has to come down.
