LCD TV Audio Settings?

Featured Replies

Evening.

I saw a thread recently about tweaking audio settings but I can't find it! I've tried a few searches but can't think of the right keywords.

Can anyone else remember it? or offer advice on where I could find some settings information?

Specifically its a Philips 32PFL5522D (32" LCD telly). The sound is rubbish - all the presets, while slightly different, all sound slightly flat and sometimes voices are quite hard to hear.

Cheers.

Its a common problem with most flat screen TV's. The issue is because the tv is so thin, and the speakers therefore so small that its difficult to get any decent sound. I have not yet heard decent sound from any flat TV, For normal stuff the speakers are general ok'ish, but for music and films I connect the audio through my home stereo amp.

Ok, thanks for the info.

We've got an amp hooked up to the tv... so we don't have cables from Sky+ to amp, 360 to amp and Wii to amp... but SWMBO can't be bothered with it. Its another remote to faff with and she gets frustrated when the mute button on the sky remote turns the volume back on on the tv while still being able to hear it through the amp! :)
