Fabia Blueline

There's a big gap between someone finding ways to criticise something and thinking that "Skoda is amazing and perfect all of the time". I'm afraid I'm with the others who think this is a pretty good deal - for those who want it. If you don't want what this offer gives you, then that's fine, but why not let other people have their (valid) view that it's a worthwhile package without getting all worked up about it and describing them as obsequious for wanting to say so?

LOL, I could say exactly the same about your obsequious desire to promote it at all costs. Why do you care so much if someone makes a rational critique of something they consider to be a bad idea?

what can i say i give as good as i get

i dont give a flying hoot if you see the benefit in the car or not, im simply saying ok so you dont agree with it, why keep on about it?

Hi all,

Today I took my 55 reg Fabia 1.9 TDI to get the right wing replaced as some willy dropped his mountain bike on it, luckily he waited by to sort things out.

As a certcity car i got a 58 reg Fabia 1.2 hpt, blueline, it has 3 cylinders 12 valves and is quite churpy for such a small engine but its awfully slow. I drive a more powerfull car day to day, so maybe its not as slow as I think.

It has got good things about it.

Nice 15'' wheels, it is 15mm lower, it doesnt sound much but it really makes a difference, its a stiffer more supporting ride, the gears are nice and close. The interier is comfy but could look better, it has a very good cd player with supurb speaker set up. This is a great car and if only Skoda did one with 1.9 tdi and few other bits and bobs I would be very tempted.

Ive driven the fabia2 and I think the blueline is better, better comfort, nicer ride and better value for money.

Anyone want a go, :) lol

i was pleasently surprised by 1.2 petrol car , after having a vrs and driving my wifes 1.3 yaris i thought it seemed to be better geared and felt more solid on the road , so persuaded her to take the plunge for blueline 1.4 tdi diesel, we have never drove one so hopefully it will pull ok and not be to rattly !! from most of reviews i have read on here it seems a good engine , but i think it needs to be considered like for like rather than comparing it to 1.9 tdi engine.

seems a bit unreal to buy a car without even test driving it but no 1.4tdi are availible on isle of wight

oh well it will be good i hope...............

Your engine will be noisy with very much vibration and will feel slow, laboured and tight.... For about 800 miles, then after thet it will keep getting quieter, smoother, faster, more flexible and a joy to drive. Don't be worried by the initial feel because with a few miles on it, you will be very happy. Everyone else on this site with the same engine will probably agree with me too.

Fellow 1.4 tdi owner.

The blueline would be a nice edition if it didnt have a white roof (too much against pacific blue). Oh, and if it had a choice of colours......and not a lowered suspension.......and a couple of decent extras such as heated seats and ESP and maybe the small leather pack....:)
