question wheel offsets et

Featured Replies

im looking to get some wheels which are et55 question is what spacers do i need to get them to fit how is the 55 relevant to the fitting, is it the offset to the hub i.e is 55 deeper in the arch then what it should be, i think its meant to be et30-45 for the mk1 octy, so does this mean i need 15mm or 20mm spacers,

Appreciate the help

if the brain is working?

it would be the 20mm you need mate, making them like the good ol et35s

im assuming they are 8inch wide? anymore than that and id maybe say you could be need a smidge more to clear the shox :orb_bonk:

i wouldnt bet my 20s on it but ive heard that wider can catch ?

thats what i was thinking but didnt know if it was as easy as that lol, going for something abit different hopefully they are 16inch rims 7inch wide

if you were going to go for the 17s youd have to take the 9 inch challenge lol

im sure they will go , would be awesome LOL

8 inch at least ... no probs with 8s and a 225 tyre :orb_elf:

is it lowered mate? :orb_danci

its lowered 35mm, so probs a tad lower then standard vrs

cool. my brothers has got kw springs and they are about 30-35

he got 225 40 18s and i havent heard anything about catching?

:orb_phone lol if its colies you got that it no matter lol

find your wheel then wind it down til it dont catch ........ or ,maybe just a smidge if you got a whole heap of folk in the back lol :orb_devil

you'll have to sneak some pics on when you get them on mate :orb_jacks

i put 50 et's on mine and they 'sandblasted the rear calipers!! i put 3mm spacers on the rear. mine is lowered about 50mm all round and the rears catch the arches if i have passengers in the back over bumps. if you fit 18's and want to lower the car at all then you need 35 tyres or they will def scrape. No issues with the fronts at all, thouh the standard wheels used to scrape at full lock after i lowered it. if you get the 8" wide wheels the 3mm spacer is about all you can fit as they will scrape on the underside of the arch. I have 18's on mine with 215/35 tyres - see pic, they fit ok with it lowered.
