Considering swaping my 2006 Fabia VRs for a year old Octavia VRs estate, not sure yet wether diesel or pertol version.

Having been blighted by the BLT stuttering problem (not really a big issue at the end of the day) I just wondered if there any problems or issues with the Octavia VRs that should be considered ?

Also do they keep much value ? - thought maybe a Golf GT Sport TDi might be better, more expensive to buy but worth more after a couple of years ?

Some people have had issues with the DPF, but that will afflict the Golf too. And early reports suggest the ECU upgrade and new sensor may help this. By the way, don't be too sure that the Golf will be worth lots more. VW are introducing the Mk6, so values of the Mk5 will inevitably be affected.
