There should be a sticker on your boot floor with a paint code on it under the carpet.

I believe corrida red is metallic, so if your car is solid red this will not be for you :-)

Corrida red is definitely not metallic :)

Skoda parts person not knowing about their paint/lacquer kits?! dear oh dear. :D I've bought enough silver paint from my stealer over the last year or so :D

i got a can of corrida red made at halfords to spray grill...its slightly different shade.

Maybe it's my local Skoda dealer who have just been merged with the main Renualt dealer

Their parts person could not even tell me which oil I needed for a 2.0 TDi on variable without calling up another dealer to check!! (I did tell him anything was OK as long as it had VW 507 on it)

I hope I don't need to use their mechanics until they are up to speed on Skoda chassis and engines. Even the mechanic did not know which oil I should use. ("I'm not familiar with Skoda engines yet" he said!!!)

Change your dealer then Golf-Fiend. Mine went to the effort of checking the chassis number to be sure they got the correct green.

It seems very poor that when the Skoda parts advisor puts a chassis number into the ETKA system they cannot give a paint code. It identifies the car and then brings up a page with "car identification" on it. On this page is the chassis number, model, year and lots of short abbreviations on the car eg 3 letter engine code, transmission code, interior trim and PAINT code. Send the person back to the Early Learning Centre for some Skoda education.

Corrida red is not metallic but flamenco red is.Flamenco is more of a maroon metallic colour though.Skoda sales code for Corrida red is 8T8T but most probably , paint supplier might need the actual paint code which is 8151 or F3K.Alternatively Skoda do spray cans part number HFA381074,you might need two of them as they're quite small.A good dealer should be able to order it for you.
