Hey all

Just posting to tell you about the Green Cotton Replacement Panel Air Filter I had fitted on Friday!

Firstly, wowsers... Has anyone seen a standard air filter in a Fabia vRS?? Those things look terribly restrictive! Almost made out of cardboard!

Anyway, after fitting, I seem to hear the turbo spool up a little more which is very cool and acceleration seems mildly improved (top end also seems a lot less "breathless".

I'm going to run a Group Buy on these, so keep your eyes peeled if you fancy one!

Can't say I've noticed a difference in turbo spool up noise but then again yours is tweeked.

I didnt really notice much difference with mine tbh, but then there was alot going on anyhow

Would this filter be responsible for mine producing more of an "induction kit" noise on full acceleration....? With the window down I can deffo hear something that sounds like a whooshing air noise, but its hard to tell if its coming from the exhaust or somewhere else. I like it anyway, whatever is responsible for it!

Drop the back seat and you get to here the fuel pump working overtime!!!!

Id doubt it.

The air filter is still enclosed in the same airbox so shouldnt really make any more noise.

Andy - after recently taking my old seats to work for an ebayer to pick-up I've got no back seats at all... Can't say I've heard the fuel pump going for it, unless its a noise I'm not listening out for... more likely I've got the stereo up too loud though! :speaker:

Ross - cheers - I guess its just the exhaust making a new note... probably a hole in it! Although after stating that I've no rear seats in at the moment maybe its just the normal "boot noise" I'm now being battered with? Must be it.

The fuel pump in the tank shouldnt be working too hard, its only a lift pump to get the fuel up to the engine. The main pressure is supplied by a mechanical pump on the engine.
