Just trying to take damaged engine out of my 2003 TDI and can't get air con pump off! 2 long bolts have been removed but it's still solid and can't see any other obvious bolts? help! Has anyone taken the pump off before? Have I missed a bolt? Gentle tapping no help.

Mr Haynes is not too useful, it just says you can unbolt it and move it out of the way..

But from something else I have it seems there are only two bolts but there appears to be a threaded bush which may be at the other end of the compressor - the picture is rubbish. try being a bit less gentle
