OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thats me sold then! Worth it untill my engine rehaul to a 1.8 next summer. I dont give a toss about top end, I'll happily sit at 80 if I can get there quicker I much much much preferr a bit more when i stick my foot down in lower gears.

Will be very interested to hear how fuel consumption has gone? If thats not toooooooo bad tho me thinks me will be ringing them.

Pah!

I paid £3 for a Max Power sticker once and it added 50bhp to my car. Now that's value!

i got one free at trax, does that mean i have an extra 200hp?

On a serious note for jabbasport, what would you charge for a 2.0 octy 2 fsi n/a 150bhp chip and what gains would i expect?

big clue on that print out.

AIR TEMP 48º

warm in peterborough was it today mate?

That rolling road doesnt have an air temp sensor, it's just a default value that's put in. Air temp and barometric pressure only apply to the DIN rule, which yes, you'll notice is slightly higher at 79CV but we disregard this and show on the graph the non-(din)corrected power which was 77CV.

In regard to cheesemonkhai's post, this wasn't a generic remap with a power run, this was a custom map, we havent mapped a 1.4 MPi before so didnt know how the map would respond and took a few attempts at getting a decent map created for the engine. As for pricing we're no different from anyone else, many other companies charge based upon engine size etc, but please, if a car is on our rolling road, it's being mapped from scratch (custom) not generically with a power run like some other companies, please dont get us confused.

I'll take a look tomorrow for you :)

I put the caveat in for that reason, however I stand by the comment that just because everyone is charging it doesn't mean it's a good price.

For your custom map then yes that £150 is a good price at a couple of hours labour.

For a case where company X charges £500 to place a generic map on a car and do a before/after RR run, that's is a lot of money.

for the record, we charge £295 for a generic map and £420 for a custom :)
