30,000 miles and one year later

Featured Replies

If anyone comes onto this forum looking for something to clinch the deal then this thread should be it. I will probably own this car for many years as it's pretty much every car you could want (Apart from the track car of course). Don't bother with a Fabia estate, it's poor value compared to this. Don't bother with your Renult Kangoo, it's bloated, slow and french. Don't bother with a Cmax either, it's boring to drive and massively overpriced in comparison.

This is about as good as it gets for the cash. Seriously.

Decron - my sincere thanks; your threads really did clinch the deal for me. I collected my new Roomy on Saturday, and having driven 600 miles since then (at 52MPG), I realise I have chosen the right vehicle. The Roomy is everything I want in a car - and a lot more besides. It is everything I had hoped the Schitroen Berlingo would be - but wasn't. In just three days of ownership, it has exceeded all of my expectations. I love this car.

Another 10% for you Martin :D

I would settle for a bumper respray ;)

  • 3 weeks later...

12 months; 17000 miles; one standard service with no extra visits to the garage; flexible with easy access for my disabled partner; moved a fridge and a dishwasher (to Amsterdam!); bought a set of windscreen wipers at the weekend but not fitted yet - otherwise no extras; no issues, no problems, no odd noises, no leaks (just had to press the door trim back in once). Panoramic roof and light trim make it bright and airy on even a winter day; comfortable for front and rear passengers; fuel economy just sort of 40mpg on mixed urban and motorway (1.6 petrol with tiptronic gearbox).

Best year's motoring ever. I can't fault this car :)
