The previous thread on a Seat Surgeons Group Buy (http://briskoda.net/group-buys-promotions/seat-surgeons-re-trim/122395/) has gone quiet, so I popped into Seat Surgeons near York last night and had a good chat with Paul - the owner.

Most of their business is for new car dealerships and manufacturers, but they can do individuals too - many members of Briskoda have already had their cars re-trimmed by Seat Surgeons. Try a search and you will read lots of positive reports.

At the moment I have just got prices for the Fabia vRS, but I'm sure Paul would quote for other makes / models if need be.

The normal Briskoda special price was £795 + VAT - already a good saving on dealer prices.

Nappa leather (smoother, softer but maybe not quite as hard wearing) was an additional £200. Before anyone asks, he did have a special offer on Nappa a few months ago based on stock levels at the time but that was a one-off and has now ended.

If we get six or more by the end of November, Paul has agreed the following special deal

Fabia vRS - Standard Leather re-trim including door cards - £750 + VAT

Fabia vRS - Nappa Leather re-trim including door cards - £900 + VAT

These prices cannot be guaranteed after that time.

I will PM all those who expressed an interest in the previous thread so please confirm below only if you are committed to go ahead with this.

Booking and your choice of colours / patterns / seat style / leather type / stitching / perforations / vRS badge location etc and payment details should all be confirmed directly with Paul at Seat Surgeons - their telephone number is 0844 800 7089.

Paul ideally needs a couple of weeks notice to get the covers in as they are all made to order - but could probably do it faster than that if need be. Again, contact him directly to arrange a time for your visit.

This offer is only available at the York branch of Seat Surgeons, but many members have enjoyed a day out in the city while their cars have been done. Fitting takes less than a day.

As always, this Group Buy is not an offical BRISKODA organised buy and therefore BRISKODA or myself CANNOT be held responsible for any wrong doing or problems that may occur.

Cash is the preferred medium and may very well attract a greater discount, this is something you should discuss individually with Paul

I've spoken to Paul again about this, and based on the interest to date - both on here and directly to him - he has confirmed that he is happy to get moving on this as soon as people are ready to place their order.

All you have to do now is decide what colours / designs / leather type you want!

I got my choice finalised yesterday and should have them fitted in a couple of weeks.

As a note, if you have any questions at all or are concerned in any way about what you get for your money, I've discovered over the last few days that Paul has excellent pre-sale customer service and is more than prepared to answer any questions you throw at him.

Not had my seats trimmed yet but have to say that I am only expecting the most pleasant of experiences!

Wahay! That's my seats at the end with the green diamond, the colour looks abit weird on here, but they are awesome, couldn't recommend more!

Go for Nappa, it's the balls, makes me smile everytime I get in! They do an awesome job and smells great!

also what about anyone with side airbags? Is there still a logo showing it has side airbags?

Every set of covers is custom made, so I'm sure they will be able to incorporate a third headrest as long as they know about it when you order.

When I placed my order, Paul asked me if I had side airbags but I don't. He is obviously aware that some cars do so I would suggest giving him a ring just to confirm what they do about them.

He'll be able to guide you through what needs to be done and explain how it all works.

The Group Buy prices are based on orders being placed before the end of November (and fitting is usually 2 - 3 weeks after this) but always worth speaking to Paul at Seat Surgeons to see what the latest situation is.
