ARB bushes (again)

Featured Replies

My Vrs has been in the garage this morning and have just phoned - ARB bushes have given up the ghost.

How easy/hard is it to replace them my self? Any guides about? (funds are tight ATM due to central heating also giving up at home) and what advantages are there to upgrading them?

Searching found suprisingly little.........:thumbdwn:

Easy too do .....Unless the bar need changing as well, if it's just the bushes it's simple as longas you jack both sides of the car off the floor and undo the drop links. Then it's just a case of whipping the brackets off changing the bush and roberts your fathers brother.

Uprated "should" last longer in theory these ones will be just right if you have a standard bar just select 19mm Buy VAG - Front - Anti Roll Bar to Chassis Bushes by PRI Racing Ltd. buy online

get some superpro ones mate, i found the car handles better, it was more rigid in the corners.

Isn't there an issue with the earlier bushes having plastic sleeves which split? When mine was done I had to get a new bar and the new style bushes. Mine was paid for under warrantee so I guess the garage wasn't too concerned about the cost, though. Might be worth checking what the score is with this though.

P.S. My central heating bit the dust today too. Is somebody putting something in the gas aroung here?
