Hello from outside of GB!

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm Sainted, mostly known as Eugene in real world.

I come from Latvia, but I hope to be feeling at home here, since English is sort of my second language (the native being Russian)...

I found this board through a Google search, when looking for more information on what Skoda's MaxiDot system represents. Found a nice description of it here, along with a few useful comments from the actual Skoda drivers.

This leads me to the trickiest part. I am a happy owner of a 2001 Audi A4 1,9TDi (yep, the same thing used in all Skoda cars, but in it's 130bhp configuration). I am now looking to replace the car, and I face a big dilemma - I want a new car, the current Audi range seems to have it's pricing high on drugs, VW seem to be loosing it's plot of designing simple (in this word's positive meaning), Opel seems to be yet to catch up with the quality standarts, and I just don't have enough passion for Japanese cars... So this leads me to Skoda, and even though I can afford an upper-range Octavia, I literally fell in love with Fabia hatchback when I saw it and road-tested it...

So I'm not yet your "mate", but it looks like I will soon become one. Looking at a 1,9TDi with most of add-on features on. :-)

So yes, hello to everyone here! :-)
