Featured Replies

kind regards

Do a search - the chances are it is coming in through a grommet near to the pollen filter under the scuttle panel.

  • 3 weeks later...

I've just sorted a similar problem on my hatchback octy. I had a large pool of water in the rear passenger footwell and some dampness in the front passenger footwell too.

I tried the gromet under the scuttle pannel by the polen filter and water was still coming in.

I found out in the end that the front left Drain Pipe that was supposed to be attached to the sunroof was actually disconnected.

The water was missing the roof lining and dropping into the plastic seal that runs down the trim by the windscreen (hence no damp patches on the roof lining).

It was then running down the left hand side of the dash and collecting under the front carpet... but because of the shape of the floor and the front Underlay being twice as thick in the front than in the back the water would end up pooling in the rear footwell.

Hope you sort it buddy
