Front Grille??

Featured Replies

I have a black vRS Furby and want the front grille to be black with no badge, saw one like this before, looked great, just wondering if its a new part you buy or just painted?? can i do it myself?

Cheers

alex :D

Its a new part, from milotec (www.milotec.de) Needs painting and fitting then.

Or you can get one like mine. Its a MS Design one, I got mine from

http://www.duncansmithdesign.com/index.html

just needs painting and is a direct replacement of the standard one.

that looks great, yours is the furby ive seen with it on. Very nice. I want the badge in the middle though. Dont want to rain on your parade, if you know what i mean... Thanks for that, how much did yours cost and how long did it take to fit?

cheers

alex

The grill costs

If you wanna keep the badge, you could always get the chrome bit sprayed and make up a mesh insert. ;)

Something like this, but with a colour coded surround.

attachment.php?attachmentid=12961&stc=1

Make sure you have huge amounts of patience first though. Took me a couple of hours fiddling and trimming the mesh to fit properly.

Oi you, stop putting pics up of your car, im the pic whore and mine looks the best :P

its really easy, i did it when it was 31 degrees so it was hot, alternatively use a hairdryer to heat the rubber that the strips are stuck on with. Once heated i used a small length of thin but strong fishing line, to start them off (pull behid strip in a chhese wire cutting motion :o ). Then literally lift up the edge and pull slowly all the way along and they will peel off. Go slowly so the rubber comes off with the strip so minimal rubbing off any excess glue/rubber afterwards.

The either keep or throw away at your discretion.

Looks a lot smoother  and easier to clean  . There may be a lot of dirt behind them when you take them off but that washes right off.

Good luck.
