vRS TSFi 200BHP DSG!

Featured Replies

Just checked the system and vRS 200BHP TFSi DSG is showing available to order.

Anyone fancy one then....

Excellent news!

I'm not able to buy right now, but I'd love a test drive if you get one in! :) I loved my Mk2 vRS 2.0TFSI, and do think the engine would work well with DSG.

Whats the torque and horses limit for this DSG box? ;)

Of course Tom, more than welcome!

I'm not sure what the DSG box is capable of but I'm sure someone on here will be able to work out if you could safely remap a vRS DSG.

Are you absolutely sure about this as I thought the DSG option was going to be limited to the CR170?

I think for the facelift Octy it will be available.

Doesn't Audi do their 3.2l with the DSG?

I think for the facelift Octy it will be available.

In which case you wouldn't be able to spec it or buy it now!

unless its the new 7 speed one it will be able to handle a fair bit of go ;)

im sure ive seen a big engined audi with dsg and flappy paddles

I've driven a 3.2 TT with DSG and the Golf R32 comes with DSG. Also the Superb 3.6 is a DSG gearbox.

100% sure it is showing on the system!

Erm i'd rather slash my bell end with a rusty razor thanks:P:rofl:

James - off topic, but get some pics of that Mocca SE Superb up!!!!

I think I heard that the vRS will NOT be facelifted, can you confirm this James??

There will be a facelifted version of the vRS Tom, it comes out in July/August I believe ;)

Yes, but I understand it will be the minor cosmetic changes only, and won't be getting a new front end/bodykit etc like the rest of the range. I understand this is the same for the Scout too.

Well may I ask what you were expecting from a mild facelift from Skoda?....................................Sydney Opera House perhaps, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, herds of wildebeast sweeping majestically........:D

Fawltey Towers for those too young to remember wtf I'm on about ;)

Been driving DSG equiped cars for 4.5 yrs. Fab units with great fuel comsumption.

New boxes are lighter and less complex. Oil + filter changes are also relatively easy DIY.

Tom- The vRS and the Scout are being facelifted later on next year.

Mater- That is just sick.

Makefish- Faulty Towers is one of the best comedies ever, in fact that episode which I believe is called communcation problems is the best episode ever.

Good to hear they're expanding their options  - I'd like to try one out, but would need some convincing to move away from a manual.

Oh, and 'The rat' is my favourite :D

Steve

One of the extras for the DSG is a new multifunctional steeringwheel with paddles. Should be in the configurator too

It probably has the same 6 gear DSG box as in the Golf/Octi 140TDI PD etc. That handles up to 350Nm.

The rest of the Octavias are getting new headlights/bonnet/bumpers etc, but NOT the vRS, IIRC.

Thanks for the update James, will be nice if it does get refreshed. :)

And PMSL - I love Fawltt Towers!

The S3 can now be spec'd with DSG so it must be capable of circa 260 horses and 260 ish lbft.

Some boys in the US are running big HP and torque on DSG boxes.

A little teaser if the vRS facelift -

I hope that steering wheel is smaller than the current one!! :P

From Skoda UK special customer services department - vRS facelift will not be out until June/July next year - it will be a facelift like the rest, but unlike the remainder the 'sporty models' won't be ready until mid-2009

Mater- That is just sick.

So is a DSG TFSi vRS:P:rofl:
