vRS deals?

Featured Replies

went to look at a new Octavia vRS on Friday, the dealer knocked the 300 odd quid off for matalic paint. Is it worth pushing him further?

Are there any other options worth getting fitted?

Personally,

There seem to be a good few cars around atm, so maybe worth calling around. See the reviews section for dealers in and around your area. Unless you love them to bits, which does happen.

Re Extra's...bit of a silly thing perhaps, but the reversing sensors are a great gadet.

If the lighting is an option I'd consider xenons but might delay delivery and bump cost, however they cannot be retro fitted feasibly and IMHO are a good improvement over the std Headlight arrangement.

Other than that they come pretty much with all one needs, pocket the cash and spend it on a road trip to Scotland ;)

I would push him a bit further if I was you. Most dealers (mine certainly) seem to offer to "help" with the cost of metallic paint at the drop of a hat so to speak.

On the options front, I went for a sunroof - just a personal preference really but I wouldn't be without it. As Colin says reversing sensors would probably be a good idea as it's not always easy to judge where the back of the car is. (Stands by for some woman driver type comments)

anyone know where I can get a price list of the optional extra's?

Hi,

Have a look on the Skoda site : here

Hey...Like everyone else has said, reversing sensors are a must, and I agree with Colin about the Xenons. Also, cruise control is a good option if you do any sort of motorway miles at all, and is something that you don't realise you'll use so much 'til you have it. Also, consider the fornt mudflaps.

As regards pushing the dealer, IMHO you should always push them as far and hard as possible. I got mine with Xenons, Cruise Control, Reversing Sensors, ESP and metallic paint and mudflaps. At the time it should have been just over

Hopefully this should be a pic of the reversing sensors for boyced...

Cheers

Boyced - Push for anything and everything you dare ask for re options on the car, if your buying new then they can/should be able to sort things out for you. Obviously if your going down the used route be patient and find one like i did that came with everything i wanted... sunroof, parking sensors, front flaps and low miles.

like i said to you in PM they are out there if you look for them, i got the details for mine off the auto trader website in the end, but the Skoda UK used car search is very helpful for getting ideas of what they go for at the dealers.

I'd personally buy mine, then you have all the options, xenon, heated seats, headlight washers, 4airbags, rally decals etc etc etc all as standard fit, and an extremely rare car, unique even as it's number 82 of only 100 made Worldwide. I'm not in the least bit biased though. :)

Agreed on the parking sensors and cruise is just brilliant. Interest free credit is worth about
