I have just had it confirmed that my DMF is on the way out after running with it clanking for 12K

Now I contacted the gararge that last serviced it before I became the owner and they informed me it was changed under warranty at 44K in April 2007 i bought it in July 2008 with 64K

Would Skoda still change it for free or is there now a recall on these DMFs

Should still be under warranty, as far as i know theres a 2 year warranty on parts anyways

I know there are some dealers on here could you please advise

How old is the car?

If it's under 2 years it's covered, if it's over 2 years it isn't because you have covered more than 60k miles.
