Skoda Autoelectrician PLEASE HELP

Featured Replies

I'm trying to retrofit remote locking to base model octy 2.

Can get to deadlock doors by earthing gr/yl cable on electric window control box in door, but cannot get doors to unlock been onto all cables on door actuator but wont unlock tried different configurations of linking wires together, does it require a pulse signal to unlock ????

please help pulling my hair out :(

The best place to connect the remote locking would be at the convenience controller. You may need to add a 270R resister in the unlock circuit.

Never tried connecting one to the door lock circuit. Maybe the door circuit you need is normally grounded and needs to open to unlock.

Thanks for reply, what do you mean by convenience controller previous owner has connected to internal lock and unlock switch but that doesnt deadlock doors and flash indicators, i will try resistor in unlock circuit.

I will look up the connection info you need tomorrow and post it here

Sorted it cheers, put a 220ohm resistor i removed from an old alarm passive sensor i found in garage onto unlock neg output, works a treat, deadlocks work and indicators flash as they should. Only trouble is, doesnt unlock rear doors cos you need to press unlock twice and this cobra remote wont do that, so i may need to reprogram with vagcom so all doors unlock together, just need to find someone with vagcom in halifax.
