Clutch

Featured Replies

5 months and 25,000 miles ago I had my dual mass fly wheel and clutch replaced. Leaving Skoda's it was fine, but in the last 1000's miles I've noticed a remarkable difference in it's operation

The clutch peddle now seems to travel a bit before anything happens and when releasing it, it sometimes bits too soon, (get the impression that its not holding off), there also seems to be a dead spot near the top (2 inch) of the peddle when its released.. I'm also occasionally having trouble getting 1st and reverse... but a double press seems to cure this..

I've strained a ligament in my foot driving like this over the last few days..

The car is an 2 ltr Octavia on an 05 plate

Any thoughts (other than medical) ?

Many thx

Try bleeding the clutch slave cylinder.
