Anyone know what a "Inlet manifold flap" is and where it is?

The car is a SDi, Ive had juddering at around 1500k revs... do you think it could be the egr valve? just wondering if changing the egr valve is an easy job and how much I'd be looking at?

Thanks guys, really appreciate that. We dont have any issues with turning the car off or excessive fuel useage, do you think it would explain the juddering?

Do you think the sdi egr can be bypassed to get rid of the juddering?

Is there any guides on how to clean an EGR?
