:D

Where abouts do you live and what springs/shocks are you thinking of using?

dont bother with springs and shocks. get the HP all in one coilovers. trust me, i ran lowering springs and stiffer shocks, then switched to coilovers.

should have gone for the coilys all along.

Can you get the coil overs through butts? (I cant see them listed) Also, do you know how much they are?

HP sports suspension. i got mine from butts, but i think they were the last set for a 1.6. you should be able to get them for the 1.3 mind.

if not, you can email the factory HP SPORTING

Live on the wirral dude, just across the water from liverpool but i aint a scouser.lol. was thinkin of using koni's but i may just take pinkskuds advice, pinkskud - were wud i find a set a thee coilovers? pay day end a the month so il be on a skoda spendin spree!

butts of bawtry do them.

Hi, welcome to Briskoda njo.

Apparently Awesome did one but the ground clearance is very small, only good for drag racing lol.

There are other alternatives if you search these threads...

it was jbs who did the 1.8t transplant.... not easy and also very costly too

toms right, JBS did the 20vturbo.

awesome gti did the vr6

My bad  (In my defence, I did see a post that said it was Awsome and then 2 below that it was corrected :))

shame! mines the 1.3 mpi and when it revs it shakes like hell, gues the 1.8t would rip the car in half :D well is there anyway i could stick a turbo, intercooler etc on my 1.3?? because i no the renault 5gt is a turbo 1.3.

oh and thanks for the welcome :D

Get some carbs on it.

No arsing around with different lumps.

well to be honest im looking for around 200 bhp which probly will cost a bomb, but im willing to pay a fair amount, not thousands n thousands but a few grand, so is the the turbo 1.3 mpi idea any good??

a turbo would blow the 1.3 to bits. the head isn't build to stay on at that sort of power.

you could get the 1.3 up to about 150hp but its gunna need constant tuning and tinkering, like a race car.

the 1.7 can be taken to about 175hp

the best way to get silly power is to do this http://www.briskoda.net/forums/project-journals/project-q-felicia/75781/

isnt there anyway i could have the head tuned for a turbo? cos im really set on the turbo route. if i could get 150bhp with a turbo kit id be chuffed! gues ill also need forged pistons etc

It's not the inside shape of the combustion chambers, it's that the amount of power would shear the head-bolts off and you'd have a 30lb lump of burning metal flying through your bonnet... Now I might be wrong and that's what you want ;)

Take a look at Toms Q-Felly lump (link in PinkSkuds previous post) and go 1.6.

crap lol. the throttle bodies seem a great idea but i have no idea where to get the parts for the 1.3 mpi, in the future ill change the lump but at the mo i just wana get the most out the mpi.

I know, I exagerated a bit ;) But only a little bit. Standard head gasket? I doubt it.

You'd still need a trick exhaust, opened up intake (decent filter), good plugs, polished valves, fast cam, good cluch and better brakes etc. Then there's the valve train - followers, pushrods, rockers, go turbo and they'll need upgrading along with the rods & slugs.

On top of that, you'll have to have it balanced, lighter flywheel... What rpm are you aiming at?

Then there's your ECU...

yea thought so :D then again you never know! im mainly aiming for acceleration top speed doesnt bother me. thanks for the feeback though muchly appreciated. well solution to that is...... no turbo! ill have a look around some sites that sell throtle bodies that fit the 1.3 mpi
