crank speed sensor lurching misfire poor running

Featured Replies

Hello-

Just some diagnostic help for others from my experiences...

I was driving to work after having my clutch replaced (no relation to problem), and the car drove fine and idled ok. after 5 miles, it started to buck and misfire over 2000rpm. This got gradually worse until I couldn't even get the car over 2000. Even at its worst, it still was able to idle and drive at low rpm. Took it to the garage and they replaced the crank sensor, problem solved.

If you have similar problems, this could save you garage bills for diagnostics!

Thanks,

Brian
